Right now, its my favourite song of his live. It had competition when it came out with those long versions of Backstreets + Prove It Bruce did on the Darkness tour, but i dont think there’s a song Bruce and The E Street Band do better now than Badlands.
My band is working on Badlands now but our bass player doesn’t know Bruce very well. I said that Badlands ranks about #5 in all time live Bruce tunes. What do you think?
We’re going to be singing and dancing to this song 100 years from now. Why? Because he captures musically and lyrically how we all feel about the world and what’s possible if we dear to fight for it. This song, Promised Land, The River and all the rest.
No no, I was saying that he didn’t play it at the last show of this tour – the Buffalo show. It was actually a bit surprising. I mean, obviously he played it at MSG in ’99, and I have the album too, but I was just replying to slippyal.
i have the album with “Live in New York City” (yes, there is and album entitled like that), the actual concert( no video of course) so he did play it. I looked through all the videos with tulsa OK and he did play it
What’s not to like about Bruce Springsteen? Nothing. The man and his music have stood the test of time. He has given so much of himself to his fans in so many great songs. He puts his heart and soul into every single performance.

This guy is is awesome at crafting a song from the lyrics to the music composition.
Poor men want to be rich, rich men want to be kings, and a king aint satisfied until he rules everything
